Fun with Fiber and Stitch

This class will use fiber and stitch as a means of expression. We will paint
and stain cloth using acrylic paints and inks using both natural and
synthetic fabric with an emphasis on using recycled fabrics from thrift
stores. Participants will learn a variety of stitches by making a small
sampler at each class. Painted fabrics will be used to create fabric collages,
fabric books or vessels which can be embellished with hand-stitching. This
class will be an ongoing class which meets the fourth Friday of the month
from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.
