Maria Barry

I have been teaching in Central Florida.
I have taught Watercolor classes for the Osceola Library System, at the Gallery in Kissimmee, in Clermont, and at Sam Flax in Orlando.
I am self-taught.
Being self-taught, I started teaching the skills I have learned to my students, the way I would have liked to have been taught myself. I was asked to teach at Stetson University in Celebration, Florida.
Painting is a learned skill that a good teacher can enable.
I volunteer my time each year through their enrichment program, teaching watercolor classes and giving lectures. I also teach watercolor classes on a weekly basis at several adult communities.
Being self-taught, I have witnessed that painting is a learned skill, and a good teacher can enable these skills in a person who might not have thought it possible.
Teaching while traveling.
Living my dream, I also teach several times a year on cruise ships on sea days, affording me travel I so love, taking me to exotic places, and inspiring others to paint through my classes.
